SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children are invited to meet in the opening room, on the second floor of the Family Center at 9:15 am, for a short opening and then proceed to class with their teachers. 

THE SMALCALD ARTICLES

Pastor Teichmiller will be leading this class in the Family  Center on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am. It will be an in depth review of our Catechism.
 

THE BOOK OF GALATIANS

This class led by Larry Harvey, will be examining the Book of Galatians in- depth. Sunday at 9:15 am, in the Parish Hall.

(or 'I have always wondered why we do what we do!')"


On April 14, we began a study of the books of Ruth and Esther. Everyone is invited.

Liturgy: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Video and Discussion featuring Dr. Arthur Just, Professor at Concordia Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dr. Just Leaves the Viewer through This Very Visual 12-part presentation of our liturgical heritage and its scriptural origins.

Each video session is approximately 20 minutes with appropriate discussion questions for each segment. Sessions include:
  • An Introduction to Lutheran Liturgy
  • The Structure of Liturgy
  • Jewish Origins in Christian Worship
  • The Table Fellowship of Jesus and Structure of Word and Sacrament
  • Liturgy in the Life of Jesus
  • The Liturgy of the Word
  • The Liturgy of the Sacrament
  • The Entrance, Preparation and Distribution
  • The Lutheran Liturgy -- 1941 and 1982 and beyond
  • The Church Year and Sunday, the Lords Day
  • The Services of Prayer
  • Catechesis, Baptism and the Liturgy of Life




MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDY GROUP

All of you are invited to attend the midweek Bible Study group which meets at 6:30 pm, on Wednesdays in the Family Center dining room.  Larry Harvey is beginning a class entitled Proper Distinction Between Law and Gospel”. Light Fellowship Meal at 6:00 p.m.

ADULT INFORMATION CLASSES

Pastor Teichmiller is leading a class on Sunday evenings for those who are interested in learning what we, as Lutherans believe. It also is an excellent refresher on the doctrine of our church for those of us who have been around for a while. This class will begin at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall. If you are interested in this class, please feel free to call the church office at 281-351-5757.

SR. YOUTH / YOUNG ADULTS

Pr. Mallie teaches “The Revelation to John”. Class meets on Sunday at 9:15 am in the Youth Room.

YOUNG ADULT BIBLE STUDY

This study, led by Pastor Mallie, will be looking at “Hebrews” This class meets on Wed. night at 7:00 pm Light Fellowship Meal at 6:00 p.m.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES

Confirmation Classes for 6th, 7th and 8th graders are led by Pastor Teichmiller (6:00 pm) and Pastor Mallie(5:30 pm). They  are held on Wednesday evening .  Call the church office for Info. 281-351-5757.
